Overview
Pathkind Diagnostics and Hero Electric entered into a partnership, wherein Hero Electric customised its EVs with cargo attachments to store critical equipment for all health-metric tests. The cargo attachment will come equipped with an inbuilt UV steriliser to maintain cleanliness and germ-free equipment at all times.
The Partnership
Pathkind has set up a credible network of 50 labs and 700 plus collection centres across nine states. It partnered with Hero Electric and started using EVs to ferry samples in NCR. The company plans to expand the partnership to other states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh.
The Solution
Hero Electric Nyx ER scooters were customized with the Pathkind logo and also made capable of fitting a 3rd battery for an extended range of over 150 kms per charge. The Nyx already comes with a cargo compartment, ensuring ample space for keeping medical equipment and samples safely.
The Impact
By investing in innovative technologies that will help sustain costs, Pathkind will be able to continue to make superior quality diagnostics services accessible to the masses at an affordable price. In this instance, switching to EVs is saving Pathkind more on their daily sample collection ferrying, and also helping them take a preventive step towards environmental conservation. It also improves the Turnaround Time (TAT) at an affordable price and eases the whole sampling process.
